Best Budget Laptops
For most people, buying a new computer does not have to be as stressful as buying a new car, nor does it has to be as expensive. If you’re like most people, and you have a limited budget for buying a computer, then you should have a view on this blog.
When we head out to online shopping or the computer market, we always have a specific range of budgets. Confusion arises when we see laptops of different specifications. These confusions range from price, design, specification, and brand name. We must either compromise budget or specification. The effect of the later is long-lasting compared to the former, as the same laptop will be used for an extended time.
However, there are always ifs and buts involved when buying laptops under a $500 budget. A lot of Chromebooks were under this range but the idea for not choosing them was to use laptops for not only internet browsing but also for modest games and software up to some extent.
These budget laptops are good enough to run day-to-day software and some low graphics games.
ASUS Vivobook 15
ASUS is producing quality laptops. It is always difficult to isolate products in a certain range. However, ASUS Vivo Book caught our eye.
ASUS VivoBook is packed with AMD CPU Ryzen 3-3200U. It is 2.6GHZ but it can be boosted to 3.5GHZ. The memory slot comes occupied with 8GB DDR4.
The laptop also comes with AMD Radeon Vega 3 Graphics card which is clocked at 300MHZ while boosting will provide 1100MHZ. It is good enough to play some modern games at a low detail level.
The configuration is also good concerning SSD. It is packed with 256GB of SSD.
Display-wise, it has FHD display (1920×1080) anti-glare display. The bezel is slim which gives more space for display.

Another good feature of the laptop is an illuminated keyboard. The left side has 2 USB 2.0 ports while the right side has an audio jack, USB-C, USB 3.1, and HDMI ports along with a MicroSD card reader, which is a nice addition.
The laptop is coupled with an Ergolift hinge which lifts the keyboard deck slightly upward for a better typing experience.
Battery-wise, it has a good battery lifespan. It is having a 2-cell 37Wh battery. As per the manufacturer’s claim, it is 3X longer. Independent sources have tested battery life and found it to be more than 5 hours for web browsing and playing videos simultaneously.
However, with the addition of 70 US$ more, it has another variant with a better CPU (Ryzen 5-3500U) and GPU (AMD Radeon Vega 8).
